POSITION: Electrician

Yinson Production is seeking an Electrician to join our team in Accra. If you possess excellent written and spoken English communication skills plus the technical certifications required for offshore electrical work, this role offers the opportunity to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems on production facilities.

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on offshore production facilities. Your role includes working with high voltage systems, hazardous area equipment, and marine electrical installations. You will also follow CompEx 01 04 standards for explosive atmospheres and maintain STCW Code A III/6 competency for Electro Technical Officers.

Key Requirements

Certifications & Standards

• You must meet the STCW Code A III/6 standard for Electro Technical Officer (ETO). This certification ensures you understand marine electrical systems, electronics, and control systems.
• You must hold CompEx 01 04 certification, demonstrating your ability to work safely in explosive atmospheres commonly found in oil and gas production.
• You must hold high voltage system safety certification, proving you can safely operate and maintain equipment above 1,000 volts.

Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an offshore environment. This experience ensures you understand the unique challenges of offshore work, including confined spaces, harsh weather, and remote locations.

Language Skills

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills to read technical manuals, complete safety documentation, and coordinate with multinational crews.

• Safety focused: You never bypass procedures, especially when working with high voltage or explosive atmospheres.
• Methodical: You troubleshoot systematically, using schematics and testing equipment to isolate faults.
• Physically fit: You handle the demands of offshore work, including climbing, confined spaces, and long shifts.
