POSITION: Associate Programme Officer
The University of Cape Coast is seeking an Associate Programme Officer to operate from its Cape Coast office, reporting to the Vice Chancellor through the Programme Coordinator. If you possess flexibility in your working schedule, willingness to travel at short notice, and a PhD as an added advantage, this role offers the opportunity to support programme administration, establish private sector partnerships, mobilise resources, conduct beneficiary studies, and document learning outcomes.

Your work will directly impact student training, institutional transformation, and the scaling of programme activities.
Your Mission
You will support the programme coordinator at the implementing university in the administration and technical delivery of the programme. Your role includes providing administrative support for selecting, recruiting, and building capacity for programme staff and scholars, establishing partnerships with the private sector, TVETs, and other institutions to advance university community engagement, student training, and entrepreneurship, and supporting the programme coordinator and RUFORUM Secretariat team in mobilising resources. Additionally, you will participate in monthly programme meetings, raise resources for scaling, produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, conduct beneficiary student studies, initiate institutional transformation, document and publish programme learning outcomes, and support fundraising for scale and sustainability.

Your role spans programme administration, partnership establishment, resource mobilisation, reporting, student studies, institutional transformation, publication, and fundraising. Here is what you will tackle:
Programme Administration
- You will support the programme coordinator in administration and technical delivery.
- Then, providing administrative support for selecting, recruiting, and building capacity for programme staff and scholars.
Partnership Establishment
- You will establish partnerships with the private sector, TVETs, and other institutions to advance university community engagement, student training, and entrepreneurship.
Resource Mobilisation
- You will support the programme coordinator and RUFORUM Secretariat team in mobilising resources to support programme activities for scaling and support other partner universities.
- Also, raising a proportion of resources to support scaling up and out.
Reporting & Meetings
- You will participate in monthly programme meetings.
- Producing and sharing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with the programme director at the RUFORUM secretariat.
Beneficiary Studies & Transformation
- You will conduct beneficiary student studies to understand programme impact.
- Initiating institutional transformation based on findings.
Publication & Fundraising
- You will document and publish programme learning outcomes.
- Supporting fundraising to support the scale and sustainability of programme operations.
What You Bring to the Role
Education
- A master’s degree in agricultural sciences or a related discipline.
- A PhD gives you an added advantage.
Experience
- At least five years of experience coordinating development programmes.
- Experience in resource mobilisation with evidence of funds mobilised from the international community.
- Evidence of publication in SCOPUS indexed journals.
