POSITION: Head Sales and Branch Operations
VisionFund Ghana is seeking a Head Sales and Branch Operations to assist the CEO in managing effective microfinance programmes, building dynamic credit teams, implementing commercial strategy, and promoting products and services. If you have excellent knowledge of microfinance regulations in Ghana, fluency in English and Akan, and reside in or are willing to relocate to Adenta, Accra, this role offers the opportunity to drive strategic execution, branch productivity, portfolio quality, growth, and stakeholder management.

As Head Sales and Branch Operations, you will not simply manage branches; you will ensure performance targets get met, coordinate network development, safeguard portfolio quality, train field staff, consolidate reports, and ensure the institution remains competitive.
Your Mission: Execute, Manage, and Grow
You will assist the CEO in developing the business plan, ensuring clear execution of institutional strategy and achievement of profitability. Your role includes ensuring performance targets per business plan get met, providing leadership in integration with World Vision, coordinating network development, ensuring efficiency and optimization of network activities, safeguarding credit portfolio quality, contributing to product design and updates, training field staff, consolidating monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring systematic follow up on branch issues, ensuring competitiveness, and submitting regular reports to stakeholders.

Your role spans strategic execution, branch operations, integration, growth, portfolio quality, stakeholder management, process excellence, and faith nurturing. Here is what you will tackle:
Strategic Execution & Business Performance
- You will assist the CEO in developing the business plan in collaboration with the Head Finance and Administration.
- Then, Ensuring clear execution of institutional strategy and achievement of profitability.
- Also, Providing leadership in integration with World Vision and ensuring social performance.
- Moreover, Ensuring the institution remains competitive locally and within microfinance programmes.
Branch Operations & Productivity
- You will ensure performance targets and indicators per business plan get met, aligning with microfinance standards.
- Improving branch productivity, operational efficiency, portfolio growth, and service delivery quality.
Growth, Sales & Customer Experience
- You will coordinate network development and monitor branch activities.
- Also, Increasing outreach, improving customer retention, strengthening institutional brand positioning, and reducing operational bottlenecks.
- Ensuring efficiency and optimization of network activities in terms of organization, profitability, and security.
Portfolio Quality & Risk Governance
- You will safeguard the quality of the credit portfolio.
- Consolidating and analysing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, portfolio, and impact reports from all branches.
- Implementing appropriate actions to ensure indicators stay within acceptable limits.
Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- You will contribute to the design, implementation, and updates of products, services, and procedures.
- Ensuring field staff receive training, equipment, and motivation to achieve objectives.
- Ensuring regular review and update of credit policies and operational guidelines.
Process Excellence
- You will ensure systematic follow up on issues and challenges arising from branches.
- Submitting regular and timely reports to all stakeholders including the CEO, Board, and regulatory bodies.
Faith Nurturing
- You will participate actively in all spiritual activities including morning devotions, periodic faith nurturing activities, and annual DoP.
What You Bring to the Role
Education & Experience
- A minimum bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in economics, management, finance, or banking.
- Six to eight years of experience in microfinance or banking.
- Solid experience in operations management or commercial activities within microfinance or banking.
Technical Skills
- Proven ability to build and manage a team, including regional managers and their respective teams.
- Ability to develop autonomy, motivation, and engagement within teams.
- Ability to design and implement commercial and organizational action plans.
- Ability to analyse, synthesize, and leverage economic and commercial performance indicators.
- Excellent knowledge of microfinance regulations in Ghana.
- Knowledge of T24 software is an asset.

Travel Requirement
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.
