POSITION: Civil Engineer

Electrofax Engineering Services (GH) Limited is seeking a Civil Engineer for a Transmission Line and Substation Relocation Project. If you have experience on high voltage transmission and substation projects, preferably 161kV or above, plus strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills, this role offers the opportunity to review designs, supervise foundation construction, oversee site grading and drainage, monitor contractor performance, and coordinate civil works with electrical installation activities.

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for reviewing and approving civil engineering designs and construction drawings. Your role includes supervising foundation construction for transmission towers and substation equipment, overseeing site grading, access roads, drainage systems, retaining structures, and building works, and ensuring compliance with approved specifications and construction standards. Additionally, you will review geotechnical reports and recommend foundation solutions, conduct site inspections and quality verification activities, monitor contractor performance and productivity, coordinate civil works with electrical installation activities, and verify quantities, measurements, and progress certifications.

• You will review and approve civil engineering designs and construction drawings.

What You Bring to the Role

Qualification Requirements

• A BSc in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of eight to ten years of experience in power infrastructure projects.
• Experience in transmission line foundations, substation civil works, roads, drainage, and structural works.
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigations and structural analysis.

General Requirements

• Experience working on high voltage transmission and substation projects, preferably 161kV or above.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and remote project locations.
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering or project management software.
