POSITION: Science Teacher

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for teaching Science to students across various grade levels, following UK curricula standards. Your role includes planning engaging lessons, conducting practical experiments, assessing student progress through assignments and exams, and preparing students for achievement exams and checkpoints. You will also collaborate with colleagues, communicate with parents, and participate in school activities.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans lesson delivery, curriculum alignment, assessment, exam preparation, and student support. Here is what you will tackle:

Lesson Delivery

• You will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that align with Cambridge, Pearson, or Oxford curricula.
• Using experiments, demonstrations, and real world examples to make Science come alive.

Curriculum Alignment

• You will ensure your teaching follows UK curriculum standards, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as required.
• Adapting lessons to meet checkpoint and achievement exam requirements.

Assessment

• You will assess student progress through quizzes, tests, lab reports, and projects.
• Providing constructive feedback that helps students improve.

Exam Preparation

• You will prepare students for achievement exams and checkpoints, familiarizing them with exam formats and time management.
• Reviewing past papers and practicing exam techniques.

Student Support

• You will identify struggling students and provide additional support, whether through extra help sessions or differentiated instruction.
• Encouraging curiosity about Science beyond the classroom.

What You Bring to the Role

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Science or a Science related field. A Science major is preferable.
• Two to three years of experience teaching Science, demonstrating your classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
• Familiarity with UK curricula including Cambridge, Pearson, or Oxford.
• Experience preparing students for achievement exams or checkpoints.

Location

• You must reside within Madina Dodowa. This ensures reliable attendance and community connection.

• Strong knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the level required for UK curricula.
