Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) Urologist Duties

You will see and treat new and follow-up patients with urologic problems, including BPH, haematuria, kidney stones, prostate cancer, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, male infertility, and more.
Secondly, you will perform office procedures such as cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, vasectomy, urodynamic studies, intravesical therapy, and placing testosterone pellets.
Third, you will perform open, endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robot-assisted surgery in its entirety.
You will also look after patients post-operatively, as well as those with urinary tract infections, acute renal colic, and urosepsis.
You will also work closely with radiation oncology, medical oncology, imaging, and pathology on challenging situations.
Finally, you will teach residents in family medicine or general surgery, medical students, and advanced practice providers at teaching hospitals.

Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) Urologist Job Requirements

You must hold an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
Second, you must have completed an ACGME-accredited (or equivalent) urology residency programme.
Third, you have to be certified by the American Board of Urology.
You also need to have at least one year of general urology experience after your residency.
You must be able to perform open, endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgery in addition.
