We seek a sharp, detail hungry Accountant to take ownership of our numbers, compliance, and financial reporting.

What You Will Own

This role goes far beyond basic bookkeeping. You will touch every major financial process in the company. Moreover, you will report directly to the General Manager on critical matters. Here is exactly what we expect you to handle:

• Own payroll administration completely. Calculate salaries, deduct taxes correctly, and ensure every employee receives accurate pay on time. No missed payments. No calculation errors.
• File all statutory returns. Stay on top of SSNIT, PAYE, VAT, and other government filings. Meet every deadline. Avoid penalties through careful planning.
• Prepare financial statements monthly and quarterly. Produce clear profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Management relies on these numbers to make decisions.
• Provide auditors with everything they need. Gather documents, explain transactions, and facilitate a smooth audit process. Answer questions thoroughly and quickly.
• Follow up on all tax payments. Track due dates. Submit payments before deadlines. Reconcile tax accounts regularly. Keep the company in good standing with GRA.
• Prepare and send invoices to customers. Generate accurate bills. Track payment terms. Follow up on overdue accounts professionally but firmly.
• Furnish the General Manager with creditor and debtor information. Update leadership weekly on who owes us money and whom we owe. Flag risky accounts immediately.
• Handle any other finance activities deemed necessary. This includes bank reconciliations, expense reviews, petty cash management, and special projects as they arise.

What You Must Bring

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Your degree must come from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Between three and five years of working experience in the same role. You have already handled payroll, tax filings, financial statements, and customer invoicing at a similar company.
• Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail. Ability to meet hard deadlines. Familiarity with Ghana’s tax and statutory filing requirements. Proficiency with accounting software. Integrity when handling sensitive financial data. Clear communication skills when explaining numbers to non finance colleagues.
