POSITION: Trailer Truck Driver

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for operating trailer trucks safely and efficiently while adhering to all road and company regulations. Your role includes transporting goods securely, ensuring proper loading and handling to designated locations, maintaining accurate delivery records, and reporting mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with clients, the logistics team, and management regarding schedules, delays, or route challenges, follow all safety protocols including defensive driving practices, and ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of your assigned vehicle.

Your role spans safe driving, secure transport, record keeping, mechanical reporting, communication, safety compliance, and vehicle maintenance. Here is what you will tackle:

Safe Driving

• You will operate trailer trucks safely and efficiently while adhering to all road and company regulations.
• Following defensive driving practices to avoid accidents.

Secure Transport

• You will transport goods securely, ensuring proper loading and handling to designated locations.
• Checking that cargo is properly secured before departure.

Record Keeping

• You will maintain accurate delivery records, documenting routes, times, and deliveries.
• Completing logbooks and trip reports as required.

Mechanical Reporting

• You will report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the operations team.
• Identifying potential problems before they cause breakdowns.

Communication

• You will communicate effectively with clients, the logistics team, and management regarding schedules, delays, or route challenges.
• Providing real time updates when unexpected delays occur.

Safety Compliance

• You will follow all safety protocols, including defensive driving practices.
• Wearing seat belts, obeying speed limits, and avoiding distractions.

Vehicle Maintenance

• You will ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of your assigned vehicle.
• Checking oil, water, tires, and lights before each trip.

What You Bring to the Role

Experience & License

• A minimum of four to five years of proven experience driving trailer trucks. This is mandatory.
• A valid Ghanaian driver’s license, Class F for heavy duty vehicles.
• A proven track record of safe driving with no major accidents in the last three years.

Location

• You must live in and around Accra, Ghana, or be willing to relocate.
