POSITION: Financial Sales Advisor
Petra is seeking a Financial Sales Advisor to join our team. If you have a valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience and strong analytical, planning, and time management skills, this role offers the opportunity to conduct financial need analysis, present innovative products, review customer portfolios, conduct competitor analysis, and achieve sales targets.

Your Mission
You will take responsibility for conducting financial need analysis to develop and implement customized financial plans that achieve customers’ financial goals. Your role includes achieving targets through effective planning and time management, proactively building and maintaining a pool of customers by presenting innovative products and providing professional advisory services, submitting daily and weekly reports, identifying key opportunities for revenue growth, supporting customers through the decision making process, regularly reviewing customer portfolios to determine if life changes or economic changes indicate a need for plan reassessment, and conducting competitor analysis.

Financial Planning
- You will conduct financial need analysis to develop and implement a customized financial plan that achieves customers’ financial goals.
- Matching products to client needs based on their current and future circumstances.
Target Achievement
- You will achieve targets through effective planning and time management.
- Breaking down annual targets into monthly and weekly activities.
Customer Acquisition
- You will proactively build and maintain a pool of customers by presenting innovative products and providing professional financial advisory services.
- Networking, cold calling, and leveraging referrals.
Reporting
- You will submit daily and weekly reports, tracking activities, leads, and conversions.
- Providing management with accurate sales data.
Revenue Growth
- You will identify key opportunities for revenue growth, upselling and cross selling to existing customers.
- Spotting market trends that create new sales opportunities.
Customer Support
- You will support and guide customers through the decision making process by displaying exceptional product knowledge and customer centeredness.
- Answering questions and addressing concerns without pressure.
Portfolio Review
- You will regularly review customer portfolios and accounts to determine whether life changes, economic changes, or financial performance indicate a need for plan reassessment.
- Proactively reaching out to clients when circumstances change.
Competitor Analysis
- You will conduct competitor analysis, understanding their products, pricing, and positioning.
- Using insights to differentiate Petra’s offerings.
What You Bring to the Role
Qualifications & Experience
- A first degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of post national service work experience in sales, preferably in the retail space.
Must Have Skills
- Self confidence and self motivation to handle rejection and keep selling.
- Selling and persuasiveness to convert prospects into customers.
- Presentation skills to explain financial products clearly.
- Team player mentality to collaborate with colleagues.
- Ability to build and nurture relationships for long term client retention.
- Verbal and written communication skills for reports and client interactions.
- Analytical skills to assess financial needs and competitor strategies.
- Planning and time management skills to balance prospecting, meetings, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint for reports and presentations.
- A valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience for client meetings.
