POSITION: IT Technician

What You Will Actually Do Every Day

This role goes far beyond basic troubleshooting. You will inspect, analyze, and repair systems while working alongside other professionals. Moreover, you will interpret test results, write clear reports, and even fabricate components when needed. Your decisions will directly affect equipment reliability and operational costs.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Inspecting and troubleshooting systems and equipment to identify root causes quickly
• Reading repair manuals and liaising with colleagues to align on the best fix
• Running diagnostic tests and interpreting results so you can make effective, actionable recommendations
• Writing detailed reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans for management review
• Sourcing replacement parts while negotiating with suppliers and clients to control costs
• Repairing or replacing faulty equipment and fabricating any necessary components on site
• Providing accurate time and material cost estimates before starting any job
• Keeping abreast of new technology advancements and attending workshops as required

What You Bring to the Table

You do not need a decade of experience, but you do need self discipline and a genuine passion for technology. Additionally, you must explain complex problems in simple, clear language because you will talk to both technical and non technical people.

Required skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma (a relevant degree, certification, or license gives you a strong advantage)
• Previous experience working as a technician
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong multitasking ability and comfort liaising with professionals from different fields
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Solid understanding of verbal and written instructions
• Strict adherence to health and safety regulations
• Excellent mathematical and problem solving skills
