The Real Impact You Will Make

You will report directly to the R&D Director. However, your work will reach far beyond one person. You will develop petroleum based and bio based resin technologies for real industrial applications. Furthermore, you will help expand Elrisa’s product portfolio while working alongside manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams.

What You Will Own in the Laboratory

This role combines hands on bench work with scientific communication. You will not just run experiments. You will interpret results, write technical reports, and even present findings at industry conferences.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of resin technologies from both petroleum and bio based feedstocks
• Designing, executing, and documenting laboratory experiments with strong scientific rigor
• Developing and validating new formulations and test methods that align with business goals
• Interpreting experimental results and delivering technical recommendations for product development
• Preparing scientific findings through technical reports, presentations, training sessions, and conferences
• Writing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) alongside proper laboratory documentation
• Collaborating with cross functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and commercial staff
• Maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment while following all safety and regulatory requirements

What You Bring to the Lab

You need a solid foundation in polymer chemistry. Additionally, you must understand structure property relationships because that knowledge drives every formulation decision.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
• 0 to 5+ years of experience in polymer synthesis, formulation, characterization, or application development
• Strong understanding of polymer chemistry and structure property relationships

Preferred experience that makes you stand out:

• Polyols and Polyurethanes
• Epoxy resins and Unsaturated polyester resins
• Fiber reinforced composite materials (fiberglass composites)
• Other industrial polymer systems
