Job Duties

• Install rectangular and spiral ductwork according to project drawings and specifications.
• Install ducting systems of varying sizes and technical requirements.
• Fit ductwork components including offsets, reducers, transitions, and take offs.
• Assist with hangers, supports, penetrations, and coordination with other trades.
• Maintain high workplace health and safety standards at all times.
• Accurately measure and cut ductwork materials to the required dimensions.
• Perform installation tasks independently while contributing effectively within a team.
• Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, elevations, and construction drawings.
• Ensure completed work meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Support efficient project delivery through effective planning and workmanship.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience installing commercial HVAC ducting systems within New Zealand.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings and schedules.
• Experience with duct installation procedures including set outs, hangers, and transitions.
• Competence using standard hand tools and power tools safely.
• Previous experience working on commercial construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Site Safe certification or related industry qualifications are advantageous.
