POSITION: Marketing & Sales Manager

Munch & Snack is seeking a Marketing & Sales Manager to drive brand growth, accelerate revenue, and expand market penetration across retail, corporate, and direct to consumer channels. As Marketing & Sales Manager, you will not simply plan campaigns; you will develop and execute the company’s sales strategy, drive monthly sales, build retail and distributor pipelines, secure new business opportunities, expand presence in supermarkets and convenience stores, grow direct to consumer sales via online and WhatsApp, lead product launches, oversee digital marketing and influencer activity, design retail promotions, monitor competitor activity, and build a high performing team.

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for developing and executing the company’s sales strategy aligned with revenue targets. Your role includes driving monthly sales to meet and exceed targets, building and managing retail, distributor, and corporate sales pipelines, identifying and securing new business opportunities and partnerships, expanding presence in supermarkets, pharmacies, gyms, and convenience stores, growing direct to consumer sales via online, WhatsApp, and subscriptions, developing and executing the annual marketing calendar, leading product launches, overseeing digital marketing and influencer activity, designing retail promotions, monitoring competitor activity, and building and supervising the sales and brand activation team.

Your role spans sales and revenue growth, channel development, brand and marketing management, trade marketing, market intelligence, and team leadership. Here is what you will tackle:

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • You will develop and execute the company’s sales strategy aligned with revenue targets.
  • Driving monthly sales to meet and exceed agreed targets.
  • Building and managing retail, distributor, and corporate sales pipelines.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions.

Channel Development

  • You will expand presence in supermarkets, pharmacies, gyms, and convenience stores.
  • Developing and managing distributor relationships.
  • Growing direct to consumer sales via online, WhatsApp, and subscriptions.
  • Building corporate and institutional sales verticals.
  • Optimising route to market and coverage efficiency.

Brand & Marketing Management

  • You will develop and execute the annual marketing calendar.
  • Leading product launches end to end.
  • Overseeing digital marketing, social media, and influencer activity.
  • Driving sampling activations and in store promotions.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Trade Marketing & Promotions

  • You will design retail promotions and merchandising programmes.
  • Negotiating shelf placement and visibility with retail partners.
  • Managing point of sale materials and in store branding.
  • Tracking promotion effectiveness and optimising spend.

Market Intelligence & Insights

  • You will monitor competitor activity and pricing trends.
  • Gathering customer feedback and market insights.
  • Recommending pricing and product adjustments.
  • Supporting new product development with market data.

Team Leadership & Execution

  • You will build and supervise the sales and brand activation team.
  • Setting clear targets and performance dashboards.
  • Coaching field sales representatives.
  • Coordinating with operations to align supply and demand.
  • Reporting weekly and monthly performance to management.

What You Bring to the Role

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in FMCG sales and marketing.
  • A proven track record in driving revenue growth.
  • Experience managing retail and distributor channels.
  • A strong understanding of the Ghanaian FMCG landscape.
  • Digital marketing proficiency gives you an advantage.
