POSITION: Accountant

Eve Asa Company Limited is seeking an Accountant to join our growing team. If you have strong analytical and problem solving skills, a high level of integrity and confidentiality, and the ability to work independently, this role offers the opportunity to maintain financial records, prepare reports, reconcile bank statements, process payroll, file statutory returns, and support external audits.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans record keeping, reporting, reconciliation, payroll, compliance, budgeting, auditing, cash flow monitoring, and audit support. Here is what you will tackle:

Record Keeping

• You will maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
• Ensuring every transaction gets properly categorized and documented.

Reporting

• You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Summarizing revenue, expenses, and cash flow clearly.

Reconciliation

• You will reconcile bank statements and company accounts, investigating discrepancies.
• Matching company records with bank statements monthly.

Accounts Management

• You will monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, tracking invoices and payments.
• Following up on overdue accounts.

Payroll

• You will process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries.
• Calculating deductions for PAYE, SSNIT, and other statutory requirements.

Compliance

• You will prepare and file statutory returns including VAT, PAYE, SSNIT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Meeting filing deadlines to avoid penalties.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• You will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Providing historical data and variance analysis.

Auditing

• You will conduct regular audits of financial records and inventory transactions.
• Catching errors or irregularities early.

Cash Flow Monitoring

• You will monitor cash flow and advise management on financial performance.
• Identifying cash shortfalls before they become crises.

Audit Support

• You will support external auditors during audits and financial reviews.
• Preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.

What You Bring to the Role

Education & Certification

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA Ghana, CIMA, or CPA gives you an added advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of one to three years of accounting experience.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally.
