POSITION: Digital Marketing & Communications Officer

Esoko is seeking a Digital Marketing & Communications Officer to lead digital marketing initiatives, strengthen brand visibility, and support business growth. If you have a portfolio showcasing marketing campaigns, graphic design, content development, and social media management, plus a passion for technology and agriculture, this fixed term, on site role in Accra offers the opportunity to develop and execute marketing strategies, manage social media, create engaging content, and drive lead generation.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans digital marketing, content development, social media management, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. Here is what you will tackle:

Digital Marketing & Brand Management

• You will develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns across multiple channels.
• Driving brand awareness, audience engagement, and lead generation.
• Ensuring consistency in brand messaging and visual identity.

Content Development & Communications

• You will create and manage engaging content for websites, social media, newsletters, blogs, reports, and campaigns.
• Drafting internal and external communications including announcements, press releases, and stakeholder updates.
• Then, Coordinating graphics, videos, photography, and multimedia content.

Social Media & Digital Platform Management

• You will manage and grow Esoko’s social media platforms and online presence.
• Monitoring audience engagement and responding to inquiries appropriately.
• Managing website content and supporting SEO initiatives.

Analytics & Reporting

• You will monitor campaign performance, website traffic, audience engagement, and marketing metrics.
• Generating insights and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness.

What You Bring to the Role

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or creative content roles, ideally in technology, development, or AgriTech.
• A demonstrated track record of managing digital campaigns and brand accounts.
• Prior experience with NGOs, international development organisations, or donor funded projects gives you an advantage.

Tools & Platforms

• Proficiency in Canva Pro or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Experience with Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
• Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
• Working knowledge of SEO and analytics tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
• Experience managing website content using WordPress or similar CMS.
• Video creation and editing skills give you an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of Ghanaian or other African languages gives you an advantage.
• Creative, self motivated, and able to generate original ideas with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into marketing strategy.
• Highly organised, deadline driven, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Deep passion for technology, agriculture, and Africa’s development story.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
