Wellgiant Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking a Pharmacist to manage day to day pharmacy operations. If you possess strong organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a compassionate, patient centered approach, this role offers the opportunity to dispense medications, counsel patients, manage inventory, ensure regulatory compliance, supervise pharmacy technicians, and implement quality assurance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans prescription dispensing, patient care, inventory management, regulatory compliance, supervision, and quality assurance. Here is what you will tackle:

Prescription Dispensing

You will accurately interpret and process prescriptions, ensuring appropriate medication dispenses.
Conducting thorough medication consultations to discuss usage, dosage, and possible side effects.

Patient Care

You will provide counseling and advice on prescription and over the counter medications.
Offering guidance on health management and preventive care.
Conducting health screenings and vaccinations as certified.
Providing excellent customer service, resolving patient issues with empathy.

Inventory Management

You will manage pharmacy inventory, order medications and supplies, and maintain stock levels.
Overseeing pharmaceutical handling, storage guidelines, and regular stock checks.

Regulatory Compliance

You will ensure compliance with all regulatory, professional, and legal requirements.
Maintaining records of controlled substances and ensuring their security.

Supervision

You will oversee Pharmacy Technicians and MCAs, ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures and standards.

Quality Assurance

You will implement and maintain quality assurance protocols to optimize operations and enhance patient safety.
Monitoring and improving operational effectiveness.

What You Bring to the Role

Education & Registration

A Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized institution.
Valid registration and practicing license with the Pharmacy Council of Ghana.
Membership in the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (required).

Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in a retail pharmacy with multiple branches.
Advanced skills in Microsoft 365.
Experience using an ERP system.
