POSITION: Operations Manager

Borimanga Community Bank is seeking an Operations Manager to supervise day to day operations across all branches. Key Responsibilities

Your role spans operational oversight, risk and compliance, process improvement, team supervision, and reporting. Here is what you will tackle:

Operational Oversight

• You will supervise and coordinate daily branch operations across all locations, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Managing cash holdings, vault operations, and liquidity in line with Bank of Ghana requirements.
• Overseeing cheque clearing, funds transfers, standing orders, and automated payment systems.

Risk & Compliance

• You will ensure strict compliance with Anti Money Laundering, Know Your Customer, and other regulatory directives.
• Monitoring transaction processing to prevent fraud, errors, and operational losses.
• Conducting regular internal control checks and surprise cash and custody counts.

Process Improvement

• You will identify operational bottlenecks and recommend system enhancements.
• Implementing and monitoring service level agreements for customer transactions.

Team Supervision

• You will lead and train operations staff including tellers and customer service officers across branches.
• Then, Building capacity and ensuring consistent service delivery.

Reporting

• You will prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for management.
• Also, Liaising with the Branch Manager and Head of Finance on reconciliation issues.

What You Bring to the Role

Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CIB Ghana, ACCA, CPA, or Diploma in Banking is highly desirable.
• At least two years of banking experience, with at least one year in an operations or supervisory role, preferably in a community or rural bank.
• Proven knowledge of core banking applications, specifically T24.
• Strong understanding of Bank of Ghana’s operational and prudential guidelines for rural and community banks.
