Position: Finance Manager

Core Responsibilities

Your daily activities will encompass a comprehensive range of financial leadership functions:

• Conduct thorough daily reviews of expenses and general ledgers while ensuring proper accounting and bookkeeping for every transaction
• Prepare monthly management reports and systematically compare actual performance against budgeted targets
• Generate comprehensive monthly financial performance reports that clearly communicate organizational health
• Manage corporate tax obligations effectively and post accurate payroll journals
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly statutory reports to the Bank of Ghana and other regulatory bodies promptly
• Ensure unwavering compliance with all regulatory body requirements and industry standards
• Review monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts while posting reconciling differences efficiently
• Oversee the complete management of company fixed assets, including maintaining schedules and calculating depreciation accurately
• Lead the preparation of end-of-year financial statements for external audit purposes

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Foundation: Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline. Professional certification remains essential; therefore, you must be a qualified member of ACCA, ICA, or CIMA.
• Professional Experience: We require a minimum of 5 years of progressive working experience within a financial institution. This experience should demonstrate increasing responsibility and proven capability in financial management roles.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite proves fundamental to success. Furthermore, experience with Power BI and ERP accounting systems provides a distinct advantage. Strong financial modeling capabilities using Microsoft Excel remain critical.

Special Competencies Required

• Regulatory Expertise: A thorough working knowledge of IFRS standards stands non-negotiable. Additionally, you must possess comprehensive understanding of Bank of Ghana requirements and other regulatory agency expectations. Your ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes will determine success.
• Analytical Excellence: Superior analytical skills combined with exceptional report writing abilities will distinguish top candidates. You must translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that guide executive decision making.
