Position: Executive Assistant

The Business Intelligence Analyst position transcends traditional data reporting. You will serve as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, translating complex information needs into actionable dashboards and data models. Core Responsibilities

Your daily activities will encompass a comprehensive range of analytical and technical functions:

• Create innovative reporting data models through close collaboration with internal clients, directors, analysts, and developers
• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, data models, and scorecards that deliver actionable insights
• Work closely with analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand information needs and develop technical solutions
• Capture content requirements and features for layout of reporting environments while understanding business goals
• Develop ad-hoc and stored procedure queries to investigate data issues or create new report structures
• Construct reports using SSRS, Qlikview, or Business Objects to meet diverse business requirements
• Assist in creating ETL processes that populate summary data structures and analysis cubes effectively
• Use knowledge of various tools to create extract analysis from cubed or tabular data sources
• Define data access methods and processes for all future reporting frameworks
• Participate actively in brainstorming sessions covering functional requirements, content organization, process flow, and technical integration
• Create data models showing key components of source systems while performing thorough data profiling

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Foundation: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. This educational background should demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
• Technical Expertise: Experience with SQL databases including SQL, Oracle, and MySQL proves essential. Additionally, knowledge of SSIS and other BI tools provides a significant advantage. A solid understanding of relational database concepts and star schema structures remains fundamental. Furthermore, experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPivot will strengthen your application. Understanding MS SharePoint BI capabilities offers an additional competitive edge. Financial industry experience, while not mandatory, provides valuable context for success.
• Analytical Capabilities: You must possess the ability to quickly grasp both technology and business concepts in ever changing environments. Strong analytical thinking combined with meticulous attention to detail will distinguish top candidates. Moreover, you must translate unique business needs into clear technical requirements effectively. Experience building multi-dimensional reports using commonly available tools proves essential.
