USA Presidential Leadership Scholarship 2027

Applications are now open for the Presidential Leadership Scholars (PLS) Program Class of 2027, a highly selective leadership development opportunity in the United States for professionals who already have a serious record of impact and now want to sharpen their ability to lead bigger, more complex change.

This is not a beginner leadership certificate. The PLS Program is built for people who have already led teams, organizations, civic initiatives, professional projects, public service efforts, or community change — and are now ready for a six-month leadership experience designed to challenge how they think, listen, collaborate, and influence.

Who Is the Ideal Candidate?

The program specifically targets established professionals, typically with 10 or more years of experience, who are in positions to influence meaningful change. If your career is still in its early stages, this may not be the right opportunity just yet.

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

A clear record of leadership and civic engagement.
A position to directly influence the change they desire.
A genuine openness to feedback and learning from others with diverse viewpoints.

What the Program Offers

The PLS experience is rigorous, consisting of six modules over six months (January through June 2027), with sessions held at the presidential centers of George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson.

Scholars will explore core leadership principles such as vision, decision-making, and persuasion, while developing a personal leadership project. A key feature of the curriculum is its focus on collaboration across differences, fostering deep engagement with peers from diverse sectors.

Crucially, all program costs—including tuition, accommodations, meals, and domestic travel—are fully funded by program supporters. This makes the program accessible to leaders regardless of their financial situation.
