POSITION: Accountant

A reputable mining support services company is currently seeking a highly qualified and analytical Accountant to join its dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Core Accounting Functions: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure the integrity of all financial transactions.
• Leverage SAP Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of SA accounting modules (e.g., FICO, MM) to manage financial data, streamline month-end closing processes, and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
• Ensure Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, manage tax filings, and provide critical financial analysis to support strategic management decisions.
• Support Audit & Risk Management: Assist with internal and external audits, maintaining rigorous internal controls and safeguarding company assets.
• Drive Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

What You Bring to the Role

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA in Accounting or a professional certification such as ACCA or CIMA is a distinct advantage.
• Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant with hands-on SAP proficiency is an absolute requirement. Experience within the mining, logistics, or engineering support sectors is preferred .
• Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of SAP accounting modules (General Ledger, AP, AR, MM) and strong MS Office skills are essential .
• Personal Attributes: We are looking for an individual with high integrity, exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines .
