Job Title: Manager, HR Business Partner

Consequently, we need a strategic and experienced Manager, HR Business Partner to join our team.

This is not an administrative HR role. This is a strategic partnership. You will sit at the leadership table of assigned divisions, translating business strategy into effective people strategies. You will act as a trusted advisor on all people matters, ensuring optimal organisational capability, performance, culture, and engagement. Your Mission

As Manager, HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic member of divisional leadership teams. You will leverage data, workforce insights, and market trends to influence decision making. You will champion our culture and values while ensuring divisional needs are clearly represented to HR Leadership and Centers of Excellence.

Your core accountabilities will include:

Strategic Advisory & Workforce Planning

  • Serve on Leadership Teams: You will join divisional leadership meetings, ensuring alignment between business priorities and people strategies. You will provide insights on workforce implications for every key decision.
  • Lead Divisional Workforce Planning: You will determine current and future talent, skills, and capability needs. You will analyse workforce data including FTEs, skills, costs, productivity, and attrition to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Advise on Workforce Scenarios: You will guide leaders on resourcing strategies, succession planning, and cost implications. You will validate workforce plans with HR Operations to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Monitor Trends and Risks: You will scan the external talent market and monitor workforce trends. You will escalate risks and recommend proactive interventions to maintain strategic alignment.

Talent & Organisational Effectiveness

  • Advise on Talent Sourcing: You will guide divisional leaders on sourcing strategies aligned to workforce needs. You will assess internal and external talent markets, providing insights on availability and competitiveness.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition: You will work with TA teams to deliver recruitment outcomes and build diverse, sustainable talent pipelines. You will equip leaders to make objective, inclusive hiring decisions.
  • Support Organisation Design: You will provide divisional insight for OD initiatives. You will advise leaders on structures, role clarity, and spans of control to drive efficiency.
  • Assess Organisational Impacts: You will evaluate people, change, and operational impacts of design options. You will support implementation through communication and change enablement.

Learning, Performance & Development

  • Identify Capability Needs: You will pinpoint skill requirements aligned to strategic objectives and performance gaps. You will advise leaders on learning priorities that enable business delivery.
  • Partner on Learning Solutions: You will work with Learning & Development to deploy relevant interventions. You will support leaders in embedding learning into daily work routines.
  • Guide Performance Management: You will support leaders in setting clear performance objectives. You will coach managers on effective feedback and development conversations.
  • Facilitate Talent Processes: You will guide end-to-end performance management and talent reviews. You will ensure alignment between performance outcomes, talent decisions, and reward processes.

Change, Culture & Engagement

  • Lead Divisional Change Initiatives: You will drive change through stakeholder engagement, communication, and structured planning. You will translate enterprise change strategies into actionable division plans.
  • Coach Leaders Through Transitions: You will help managers role-model change and guide their teams through transitions effectively.
  • Drive Employee Engagement: You will share survey insights and facilitate action planning with leaders and teams. You will track outcomes and adjust interventions to close engagement gaps.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a seasoned HR professional who understands the complexities of a matrixed, unionized, multinational environment. You combine strategic thinking with practical execution. You are data-driven, commercially aware, and deeply committed to ethical practice.

Education & Experience

  • A minimum of a First Degree in HR, Psychology, Social Science, or a related field.
  • A professional HR certification is a distinct advantage.
  • Between 5 to 7 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner or equivalent role.
  • Proven experience working in a unionized environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated success supporting leaders within a complex or matrixed organisation.
  • A track record of executing HR strategy that aligns with business needs.

Knowledge & Technical Competencies

  • Strong appreciation and knowledge of the Telecommunications, Technology, and Platform business landscape.
  • Solid understanding of Organisation Development principles.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging employment legislation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Deep knowledge of the Ghana Labour Act and Employee Relations Management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and project management abilities.
  • Good working knowledge of data analytics to generate workforce insights.
  • Awareness of evolving HR Management trends including remote work practices.
