P{OSITION: Laboratory Technician

Core Responsibilities

Your daily activities will encompass a comprehensive range of laboratory functions:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing with precision and accuracy
• Handle, process, and store specimens appropriately following established protocols
• Maintain rigorous quality control and assurance standards across all testing procedures
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring optimal performance
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all test results
• Adhere strictly to infection prevention and safety protocols at all times

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Foundation: Candidates must hold a Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a closely related field. This educational background should demonstrate comprehensive understanding of laboratory procedures and diagnostic principles.
• Professional Licensing: Licensure by the relevant professional regulatory body remains mandatory. This certification confirms your commitment to professional standards and ongoing competency development.
• Experience Requirements: We require a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a clinical laboratory setting. This experience should demonstrate proficiency in routine testing procedures and quality management practices. Experience in fertility-related laboratory procedures provides a distinct advantage, though we welcome candidates with strong foundational laboratory skills.
• Technical Competencies: Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems proves essential for success in this role. You must demonstrate understanding of quality control principles and their application in clinical settings. Additionally, familiarity with infection prevention protocols and safety standards remains fundamental.
