The role is offered on a permanent full-time basis (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) within the logistics and supply chain sector.
The position is offered by Stobart, part of the larger Culina Group. This role focuses on supporting health, safety, sustainability, and quality management practices across multiple logistics sites. The HSQE Advisor will help ensure compliance with internal and external audit programs, legal regulations, and operational standards while supporting ongoing improvements in safety and environmental management systems across the organization.
About Role
The HSQE Advisor will provide expert guidance and operational support to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) management systems. The role involves conducting site audits, supporting safety programs, and helping operational teams maintain high standards of workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
This position requires regular travel to operational sites where the advisor will conduct inspections, perform risk assessments, and assist with incident investigations. Responsibilities
- Support sites in maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems
- Assist with the development and implementation of internal and external HSE audit programmes
- Conduct site safety audits and produce detailed compliance reports
- Identify non-conformities and support corrective action implementation
- Carry out health and safety site visits across operational locations
- Assist with the development and maintenance of risk assessments and safe working procedures
- Investigate accidents and incidents, providing detailed analysis and recommendations
- Support external audit programmes and regulatory inspections
- Deliver safety training programs, such as manual handling training
- Conduct workplace surveys, including noise and lighting assessments
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes affecting health, safety, and environmental compliance
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a health and safety advisory role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of HSE management systems and compliance standards
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (highly beneficial)
- Awareness of ISO 9001 quality management standards
- Familiarity with digital systems such as SharePoint
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to conduct noise and lighting safety surveys
- Experience delivering manual handling safety training
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between operational sites
