Job Summary

The teaching position extends beyond classroom instruction. You will take responsibility for delivering engaging lessons that foster critical thinking and academic excellence.  Responsibilities

Your daily activities will encompass a comprehensive range of teaching and professional functions:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and development
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school improvement initiatives
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and concerns
• Uphold the school’s Christian values and code of conduct in all interactions
• Contribute to the holistic development of students beyond academic instruction

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Foundation: Candidates must hold a First Degree in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution. This qualification should demonstrate comprehensive understanding of pedagogical principles and curriculum delivery.
• Professional Experience: We require a minimum of two years of post-qualification teaching experience. Previous experience as a Head of Department or Assistant provides a distinct advantage and will strengthen your application.

Core Competencies Required

A good command of the English Language remains essential for effective communication and instruction. Computer literacy enables integration of technology in teaching and administrative tasks. The ability to think critically supports problem-solving and analytical approaches to education. Strong interpersonal skills facilitate productive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Classroom management capabilities ensure a conducive learning environment.
