Job Title: Warehouse Officer

Matrix Agroscience invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Warehouse Officer. We are looking for an individual who can harmonize physical inventory with digital records while driving efficiency across our supply chain.

Job Summary

As our Warehouse Officer, you will take full ownership of our warehousing operations. You will plan, implement, and refine warehouse processes to optimize space and technology. Your primary focus will be to monitor storage utilization and ensure the facility operates at peak efficiency. You will act as the gatekeeper of our inventory, guaranteeing that every item is accounted for and stored under the best conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and Inspection: You will verify, inspect, and record all incoming deliveries against purchase orders. This involves a meticulous check for both quality and quantity before acceptance.
• Storage and Organization: You will organize and store goods in designated areas to maximize space usage. Your goal is to ensure easy retrieval for all downstream processes.
• Inventory Control: You will conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies in stock card records. This ensures our manual and computerized inventory systems remain accurate and reliable.
• Stock Monitoring: You will continuously monitor stock levels and promptly flag reorder needs to the relevant department heads. This proactive approach will prevent stockouts and production delays.
• Dispatch and Documentation: You will prepare and dispatch goods according to approved requisitions, sales orders, or delivery schedules. You will ensure all stock movements are properly documented and fully authorized.
• Warehouse Maintenance: You will maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. You will strictly adhere to health and safety regulations to protect our team and assets.
• Protection of Assets: You will implement proper storage conditions to safeguard inventory against damage, theft, or deterioration.
• Supervision: You will supervise loading and unloading activities when necessary. You will also ensure warehouse equipment and tools are used safely and remain in good working condition.
• Reporting: You will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse and inventory reports. You will also support annual stock taking exercises and external audits.

Qualifications and Experience

• You must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• We require a minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Candidates with less experience will not be considered.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Attention to Detail: You must have a sharp eye for accuracy when updating records.
• Technical Proficiency: You must be proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and have experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• Analytical Skills: You need strong numerical and analytical skills for effective stock reconciliation and reporting.
• Physical Capability: You should possess the physical stamina to lift and move goods and stand for extended periods. Forklift certification is highly preferred.
• Communication: You must exhibit good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with various departments.
• Problem Solving: You must demonstrate the ability to solve problems, especially regarding stock discrepancies or logistics issues.
• Resilience: You must work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during peak periods.
• Organization: You must have strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
