Your Core Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE, A Level, and WASSCE curricula, ensuring students achieve academic success.
- Assess student progress regularly through tests, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and mutual respect.
- Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Monitor student performance and identify areas for intervention, providing additional support where necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events to contribute to the school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and achievements systematically.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Uphold the school’s policies and values, serving as a positive role model for students.
Qualifications and Experience Required
To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of academic qualifications, professional experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or the relevant subject area from a recognized institution.
- Teaching Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE, A Level, and WASSCE programmes.
- Subject Expertise: Deep knowledge of your subject area and the ability to make it accessible and engaging for students.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Classroom Management: Proven ability to maintain discipline and create a productive learning environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Passion for Teaching: Genuine enthusiasm for education and a commitment to student success.
