France South Africa Scholarship Program 2027

The French Government, through the Embassy of France in South Africa, has launched applications for the 2027 France South Africa Scholarships. This prestigious programme offers Master’s and PhD candidates from selected African countries a fully funded opportunity to study in France. The comprehensive award covers full tuition, provides substantial annual stipends, and includes accommodation priority.

Scholarship Benefits

Selected scholars receive exceptional support through this programme:

• Full tuition waiver at public higher education institutions
• Monthly living allowance: approximately €900 for Master’s students and €1,850 for PhD students
• One return flight between home country and France
• Social security coverage for healthcare needs
• Visa fee exemption for study entry
• Priority access to student accommodation in university housing

The total annual stipend for PhD students reaches approximately €22,200, providing substantial financial support throughout the study period.

This scholarship offers more than financial support. Scholars experience French culture, food, landscapes, art, music, history, and lifestyle while pursuing quality education. Consequently, recipients gain both academic excellence and cultural enrichment.

The exemption from tuition fees at public higher education institutions that apply standard national rates for non-European students significantly reduces study costs. Additionally, priority access to student accommodation ensures comfortable living arrangements.
