Your Mission

You will take on full time, on site teaching responsibilities spanning curriculum development, lesson planning, instruction, and record keeping. Your ability to manage your classroom tactfully and efficiently while making learning fun will determine your success. Additionally, you will build subject area interest in your students, communicate effectively with colleagues, and create relationships of mutual trust with every child you teach.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Development & Lesson Planning

• You will develop age appropriate curricula and plan engaging lessons that align with educational standards.
• Organizing your class to make learning an easy and meaningful process requires thoughtful preparation and adaptability.

Teaching & Classroom Management

• You will deliver instruction across your assigned subject areas, using varied methods to reach diverse learners.
• Managing your classroom tactfully and efficiently creates an environment where learning flourishes.
• Making learning fun while building genuine interest in subject areas keeps students motivated and curious.

Student Relationships & Communication

• You will reach out to students and create relationships of mutual trust. Your patient, nurturing approach will help every child feel valued.
• Communicating effectively with students ensures they understand expectations and feel supported.

Record Keeping & Assessment

• You will maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance.
• Using assessment data to inform your instruction demonstrates your commitment to continuous improvement.

What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for candidates with the right qualifications, training, and personal attributes. Here is what you need:

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Teacher Training Diploma, or a related qualification.
• National Teaching Certification.

Training

• Training in the GES Standards Based Curriculum (2019).
• Training in GES lesson planning modalities.

Experience

• Experience teaching in Lower Primary gives you a strong foundation for success.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong curriculum development and teaching skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues.
• A patient and nurturing approach that creates a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Computer literacy for record keeping, lesson preparation, and communication.
