Job Summary

We currently seek a reliable, honest, and customer oriented Cashier to join our team in Tamale. This position places you at the heart of our financial operations, where you will receive and process payments, maintain transaction records, balance cash, and support salary processing. Your work will directly influence our financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process cash and other payments accurately, ensuring all transactions are handled with care.
• Issue receipts and maintain proper transaction records, keeping detailed and organised documentation.
• Balance cash at the end of each working day, reconciling transactions and ensuring accuracy.
• Assist in salary processing, supporting the payroll function with accurate data and calculations.
• Report any cash discrepancies or operational issues promptly to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers and addressing their inquiries with professionalism.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring efficiency and a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with team members to support smooth operations and achieve departmental goals.

Qualification and Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of educational background, practical skills, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

• Location: Must reside in Tamale, Northern Region.
• Education: Minimum of Senior High School (SHS) certificate; additional qualifications are an advantage.
• Cash Handling: Basic knowledge of cash handling and record keeping.
• Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and colleagues.
• Personal Qualities: Honest, punctual, and detail oriented approach to work.
• Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is an added advantage.
• Numeracy: Basic numerical skills for processing payments and balancing cash.
• Reliability: Dependable and committed to meeting work schedules.
