Job Summary

We currently seek a competent and experienced Driver to join our team. This position places you at the heart of our operational logistics, where you will transport staff, partners, and materials safely to and from field sites, health facilities, and meeting venues. Your work will directly support malaria commodity distribution, supervision visits, and other critical health programs that save lives and improve health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Transport staff, partners, and materials safely to and from field sites, regional and district health directorates, and meeting venues as scheduled by the Transport Manager.
• Conduct daily and routine vehicle checks including brakes, tyres, fuel and lubricant levels, and cleanliness, reporting mechanical faults to the Transport Manager promptly.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records, and maintenance and service schedules systematically.
• Support logistics for malaria commodity distribution and supervision visits, ensuring timely delivery of essential supplies.
• Undertake official errands including dispatch of documents and procurement related runs as assigned by the Transport Manager.
• Observe road safety regulations and comply with the GHS Transport Policy, guidelines, and protocols at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality on all official NMEP and GHS matters.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of qualifications, experience, and personal competencies. Specifically, we require:

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid Ghanaian driver’s licence (class appropriate to the assigned vehicle type) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of SSCE or WASSCE or equivalent educational qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience, preferably within the public or health sector.

Competencies

• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and good knowledge of road networks.
• Safety consciousness and defensive driving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret road signs, traffic rules, and regulations and travel to remote areas.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Punctuality, reliability, integrity, and discretion in all duties.
