Eligible levels of study are:

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

There are several key requirements applicants must complete before coming to study in Japan.

General Requirements.

• Firstly, the applicant must not be a Japanese national (even with dual nationality).
• Secondly, the applicant must apply for a Japanese student visa to study.
• Also, you must be outside Japan when your programme starts.
• Lastly, the applicant must have been born on or after 4/2/1982.

Residency Eligibility

• Applicants must not have lived in Japan for a total of more than 31 days.

Exceptions may be made for:

1. The longer stay was due to family reasons that occurred before the end of compulsory education.
2. The candidate participated in the Rotary Youth Exchange high school programme.

Japanese Language Requirement

The applicant must be able to prove a Japanese language proficiency equivalent to the following:

Monthly Living Allowance

Successful applicants will be given:

1. Firstly, Master’s students: 140,000 JPY per month

How to Apply for the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship 2027

Applicants are required to apply to APU and the Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship Society.

• Submit your scholarship application directly to the Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Foundation within the application period.

2. Apply to APU

• Complete your postgraduate application via the APU Online Application System. When you apply, mention that you would like to be considered for the Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship.

3. Notify the Scholarship Organisation

• The APU Letter of Acceptance can be issued after the scholarship deadline, so please inform the scholarship organisation that you will submit your admission letter later.

4. Receive Your Acceptance Letter

• Upon successful application to APU, you will receive a formal letter of acceptance after the admission results are published.

5. Send the acceptance letter.
