Job Summary

We currently seek a Driver to join our team. This position places you at the heart of our distribution network, where you will transport stock to clients and branches, support inter-branch transfers, and provide driving support for staff and management. Your work will directly influence our ability to deliver healthcare products reliably and maintain customer trust.

Responsibilities

Stock Distribution and Delivery

• Safely transport pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical stock to clients and company branches.
• Ensure timely delivery as per dispatch schedule and obtain proof of delivery.
• Support inter-branch stock transfers and emergency deliveries as required.

Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain accurate delivery notes, invoices, and waybills.
• Ensure all items delivered tally with documentation.
• Strictly adhere to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Ensure vehicle documents including insurance, roadworthy, and license remain valid and up to date.

Vehicle Maintenance and Safety

• Conduct daily checks of the vehicle including fuel, oil, water, tyres, brakes, and lights.
• Keep the vehicle clean, in good condition, and roadworthy at all times.
• Promptly report any faults, accidents, or incidents and arrange for servicing and repairs.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbook covering mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.

Staff Transportation and Errands

• Provide driving support for official duties, meetings, and errands for staff and management.
• Ensure professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.

General Operations

• Support branch operations and logistics activities as assigned.
• Assist with loading and offloading of stock.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Communication and Teamwork

• Liaise with the warehouse team for stock dispatch planning.
• Provide timely updates on trip status, delays, or route changes.
• Maintain good working relationships with branch staff and suppliers.

Qualifications Required and Experience 

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of skills, experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Valid Ghanaian driving license (Class B or higher).
• Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a distribution or logistics role.
• Ability to read delivery notes, invoices, and stock documentation.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fault detection.
• Good knowledge of Accra routes and Ghana road networks.
• Strong attention to safety and confidentiality.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items and support loading and unloading when necessary.
• Integrity, reliability, and punctuality.

• Delivery Timeliness: 95% of deliveries completed as scheduled.
• Delivery Accuracy: Less than 1% delivery discrepancies or missing documentation.
• Vehicle Condition: Zero preventable breakdowns due to negligence.
• Safety Compliance: Zero traffic violations or incidents.
• Documentation Completeness: 100% signed delivery notes and logs.
• Fuel Efficiency: Within the approved budget.
• Team Feedback: 90% satisfaction score from warehouse and branch staff.
• Reliability and Attendance: 98% attendance consistency.
