POSITION: General Ledger – National Service Personnel
Bricks and Mint Ltd operates at the intersection of innovation and excellence across multiple sectors. This position represents more than just a service year, it serves as a launchpad for your professional journey in accounting and financial management.
Responsibilities
Your daily activities will encompass the full spectrum of financial operations. You will process invoices, receipts, and payments while ensuring every transaction meets our rigorous accuracy standards. The accounting system will become your second home as you maintain ledgers and reconcile bank statements alongside petty cash transactions.
Payment vouchers will pass through your hands, and you will develop a systematic approach to document filing that ensures nothing ever goes missing. Monthly financial reports and budget tracking will rely on your support, giving you exposure to the reporting cycles that drive business decisions.
Accounts receivable will demand your attention as you follow up on outstanding client payments and resolve discrepancies. Cross departmental collaboration will sharpen your communication skills while verifying financial data. The Finance Officer and Head of Finance will assign additional duties that stretch your capabilities and broaden your understanding of corporate finance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
We seek a recent graduate holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related discipline. Your eligibility for National Service during the 2026/2027 service year is mandatory.
Your analytical abilities and numerical prowess must be exceptional. Attention to detail will define your success, and accuracy will become your trademark. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, is non negotiable. Familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally gives you a competitive advantage.
Organizational skills and time management will determine how effectively you handle multiple priorities. Teamwork comes naturally to you, and you adapt quickly to dynamic environments. A foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations enhances your candidacy.
