About Lisbon AI Safety Hub
LAISH builds a Lisbon-based community around safe AI development. It brings together researchers, policymakers, students, and professionals. The group treats AI safety as a sociotechnical challenge, not purely technical. It also runs events, career guidance, and a public newsletter.
What the Fellowship Covers
The programme moves through four stages across eight weeks. Participants first learn why AI safety matters today. They then examine risks like misalignment and governance failures. A governance module covers policy, regulation, and institutional oversight. Finally, participants map their own path into the field.
Who Can Apply
Students and working professionals from any background may apply. No technical or programming knowledge is required to join. Applicants should be able to attend fully in person in Lisbon.
Required Materials
Interested applicants should follow LAISH’s official online application process. The published fellowship details list no specific document requirements.
