POSITION: Facilities Manager

TDC Ghana LTD seeks an accomplished Facilities Manager to take charge of our entire property portfolio and infrastructure network. The Strategic Importance of This Role

The Facilities Manager serves as the backbone of our physical operations, overseeing every aspect of facility management across all company owned properties. You will ensure that buildings, offices, warehouses, roads, utilities, and other critical infrastructure operate at peak performance levels. Moreover, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s broader operational objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and functionality.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Management:

• Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies for all TDC Ghana LTD properties
• Create maintenance schedules and asset management plans that optimise resource utilisation
• Prepare and manage facilities budgets while controlling operational costs effectively
• Coordinate renovations, repairs, refurbishment projects, and space planning initiatives

Maintenance and Operations:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance programmes
• Conduct regular inspections of company facilities and implement targeted improvement plans
• Oversee utilities management including electricity, water, waste management, and security services
• Ensure emergency preparedness and business continuity for all facilities

Vendor and Contract Management:

• Manage service providers, contractors, and maintenance personnel to guarantee quality service delivery
• Support procurement activities related to facilities management and maintenance services
• Prepare detailed reports on facilities performance, maintenance activities, and capital improvement projects

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations
• Maintain rigorous standards across all properties and infrastructure

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture, or a related discipline
• Professional certification in Facilities Management or Project Management

Experience Criteria:

• Minimum eight years of relevant experience in facilities management
• At least six years in a managerial or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance management, and health and safety regulations
• Proven expertise in contract administration and vendor management
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organisational abilities
• Strong financial management and budgeting capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software
