About Yenching Academy

What Fellows Receive

Selected scholars receive full tuition coverage throughout their studies. Accommodation and one round-trip travel fare are also included. A monthly stipend supports living costs, though the exact amount isn’t published. Field study costs further fund research beyond Beijing’s campus.

Who Can Apply

Applicants need a bachelor’s degree, or expected graduation by next August. Any academic field or discipline is welcome to apply. International candidates must hold non-Chinese citizenship and a valid passport. Strong English proficiency is required unless a specific exemption applies.

Applicants submit a personal statement and a research-interest statement online. A CV, official transcripts, and diploma or enrollment proof are required. Two recommendation letters from full or associate professors must also be included.
