About the Fellowship

Voqal funds dream-stage ideas most funders consider too early. Fellows receive real capital before proving a finished model. The program values radical vision over incremental, safe improvements. Coaching and peer community support fellows throughout the full six months.

What Fellows Receive

Fellows get $30,000 upfront, unrestricted in how it’s spent. A separate $1,000 stipend supports each fellow’s healthcare needs. All travel to three in-person convenings comes fully covered. Fellows with dependents under 18 also receive a childcare stipend.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be 18 or older and based in the US. Funds can only reach recipients able to receive US payments. Voqal prioritizes leaders working within their own affected communities. LGBTQIA+, Indigenous, disabled, and other underrepresented applicants are especially encouraged.

Required Materials

Applicants complete the official online application before the deadline. A downloadable application guide helps candidates prepare their submission. Attending one of two virtual information sessions is optional but recommended.
