EBID Young Professionals Recruitment Programme 2026

The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) invites high-calibre young graduates from West Africa and the diaspora to apply for its 2026 Young Professionals Recruitment Programme. This initiative offers talented individuals a two-year fixed-term contract as Young Trainee Professional Staff at EBID headquarters in Lomé, Togo.

What the Programme Offers

Selected candidates begin with a six-month probationary period, after which successful performance converts the appointment to an open-ended contract. Throughout the programme, you rotate across different departments, familiarising yourself with the Bank’s activities and integrating into various teams under senior staff supervision.

The position corresponds to grade P1-1 in the EBID staff classification, with a competitive salary complemented by several allowances:

  • Post adjustment allowance
  • Housing allowance
  • Transport allowance
  • Family grant where applicable

Young Professionals also join the Bank’s pension scheme and receive comprehensive insurance cover, including death and permanent disability, personal accident, and sickness coverage.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be citizens of ECOWAS member states and not more than 30 years of age at the time of recruitment. You should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in fields related to EBID’s activities, including Finance, Economics, Law, Engineering, IT, Human Resources, Audit, Communication, and other relevant areas.

Strong analytical and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to plan and determine priorities. You must demonstrate good research skills, proficiency in office automation systems (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), and fluency in at least two of the Bank’s working languages (English, French, or Portuguese).

Application Process

Submit your application in paper form, including a detailed CV, copies of qualifications, national ID or passport, birth certificate, and a motivation letter explaining your reasons for participating, areas of competence, relevant experience, and career prospects. Place your dossier in a sealed envelope marked “2026 Young Professionals Recruitment Programme” and address it to EBID, 128 Boulevard du 13 janvier, B.P. 2704, Lomé – Togo.
