Requirements for Said Foundation Master’s Scholarship 2027
1. Citizenship and Residence
- Applicants must be Syrian, Jordanian, Lebanese, or Palestinian nationals and must reside permanently in one of these countries.
2. Academic Qualifications
- Applicants should have an undergraduate degree equal to at least a UK Upper Second-Class Honours degree (2:1).
- Final-year undergraduates can also apply.
- The Foundation provides country-specific guidelines on degree equivalencies, but applicants should additionally confirm with their preferred UK university to validate their qualifications.
3. Related Work or Voluntary Experience
- Applicants must have relevant job and voluntary experience in the area of their planned topic of study.
4. Leadership Potential
The award is for people who have the capacity to be leaders and drivers of positive change.
5. Clear Career Goals
- Applicants should ideally have a defined job pathway after completion of their master’s degree.
- The Foundation is seeking individuals who can demonstrate how the knowledge and skills gained in the UK will be applied in contributing to their home country or region.
6. Registration in a master’s programme in the UK
- Applicants must be applying for an approved master’s programme at a Saïd Foundation partner university.
- You do not need a university offer to apply for a scholarship, but you must have applied to the university for the course you wish to study (if the course is open for applications) and provide evidence of this.
7. Requirement for English language
Applicants must satisfy the Foundation’s English language requirement.
- IELTS Academic: An overall score of 6.0 (minimum 6.0 in each band).
- Duolingo: An overall score of 105, and a minimum of 105 in each band.
- TOEFL iBT: The Foundation requires minimum scores based on the date you took the test.
8. Supporting documents
- Your application must be supported by all the necessary documentation. Specifically, three legitimate reference letters are necessary. Applications submitted without three references will not be considered.
