About the Fellowship

This fellowship bridges peace education theory and hands-on practice. Fellows access GEI’s international library of school textbooks and curricula. A digital media lab supports experimental research into games and VR. Fellows also help shape the programme’s own annual conference.

What Fellows Receive

Fellows receive €3,300 monthly throughout their six-month stay. Return economy airfare to Germany comes fully covered. Open access publishing fees are covered wherever possible. Mentorship and a broad peace-education network round out the support.

Who Can Apply

Scholars need a PhD in humanities, social sciences, or education. Practitioners need five years of advanced professional peace-education experience. Pracademics combining research with grassroots work are also welcome. Visa and health insurance arrangements remain the applicant’s own responsibility.

Required Materials

Applicants complete an online form describing their project’s objectives and methodology. Shortlisted candidates later submit a full proposal, CV, and publication list. That proposal cannot exceed 25 pages, including references.
