POSITION: Warehouse Supervisor

Yara Ghana seeks a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our operational team at the Tema Terminal. You will report directly to the Operations Manager while overseeing critical warehouse functions that support agricultural productivity across Ghana.

Responsibilities

Product Inspection and Handling:

• Check and inspect products received to verify accurate quantity, type, and acceptable quality
• Label all products in the warehouse according to established standards
• Despatch products to customers following proper delivery procedures
• Maintain organised warehouse layouts for efficient operations

Inventory Management:

• Effectively manage inventories at the warehouse to maintain accuracy
• Update data into the system accurately and promptly
• Conduct monthly stock takes and prepare comprehensive reports
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses

Safety and Housekeeping:

• Organise all warehouse activities while ensuring safety requirements are met
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse
• Implement safety protocols to protect personnel and products
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations consistently

Team Supervision:

• Manage contracted labour effectively to achieve operational targets
• Supervise the work of clerks at the warehouse
• Coordinate daily activities to maximise productivity
• Provide guidance and support to team members as needed

Additional Duties:

• Carry out other responsibilities assigned by the Operations Manager
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background:

• Graduate Degree or Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or Accounting from a recognised Institute

Experience Criteria:

• Minimum three years multinational working experience
• Three to five years warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management

Essential Skills and Competencies

Technical Proficiency:

• Excellent computer skills for data entry and system updates
• Knowledge of SUN Accounting will provide a significant advantage
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and listening abilities
• Good interpersonal relationship skills for team collaboration
• Ability to work independently and within teams
• Enthusiastic approach with willingness to learn continuously

Additional Requirements:

• Fluency in English for effective communication
• Good health and safety experience in warehouse environments
