The Opportunity Awaits You

We currently seek a Survey Engineer to join our team in Takoradi. This position places you at the heart of our construction expansion, where you will execute large scale, complex, and high requirement surveying and layout work to support the Ghana Glass Factory project. Your expertise will ensure precise spatial measurements, accurate structural alignment, and rigorous quality control across the entire construction lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive on site surveying and precise layouts according to engineering drawings to accurately determine building positions, axes, elevations, and control points.
• Establish, calibrate, and maintain the on site measurement control network and levelling points to ensure long term data consistency.
• Operate total stations, levels, GPS, and other specialised instruments expertly for layout execution, elevation control, and verification measurements.
• Perform actual physical measurements for each construction process, verifying that all dimensions and elevations strictly comply with blueprints to provide a reliable measurement basis for quality inspections.
• Organise raw measurement data, process it using specialised software, and submit timely measurement results to assist in completing final surveying documentation.

Qualification and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of academic qualifications, practical experience, and technical skills. Specifically, we require:

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of hands on, on site surveying experience with thorough familiarity with industrial construction layout procedures.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in operating advanced surveying instruments, specifically total stations, levels, and GPS RTK.
• Strong ability to read complex construction drawings and utilise CAD along with measurement data processing software.

• Rigorous Data Standards: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining precise, error free measurement records.
• Strong Accountability: A high sense of responsibility for the safety, accuracy, and structural alignment of large scale factory foundations.

• Collaboration and Communication: Strong capability to work alongside construction crews and project managers to deliver data driven quality assurances.

Duty Station: This position is based in Takoradi. Candidates must either reside in Takoradi or demonstrate willingness to relocate.
