Job Summary

We currently seek a Senior Supervisor to join our team in Tarkwa. This position places you at the heart of our maintenance operations, where you will lead and coordinate maintenance activities, provide technical support, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Your leadership will directly influence equipment availability, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations and Equipment Availability

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment is serviced, repaired, and returned to operation efficiently.
• Minimise downtime and ensure planned maintenance compliance across all operations.

Team Leadership and Workforce Management

• Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to maintenance teams including PM, Field Service, Workshop, Electrical, and Welding functions.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Technical Support and Continuous Improvement

• Support troubleshooting and complex technical problem solving while coordinating with specialist resources where required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance effectiveness.

Health, Safety and Compliance

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure strict adherence to company safety procedures, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Lead by example in upholding safety standards across all activities.

Quality Assurance and Warranty Management

• Ensure repairs and maintenance activities meet company quality standards and quality management system requirements.
• Oversee quality inspections, repair verification processes, and warranty claims administration for eligible component failures.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Analyse maintenance performance, downtime trends, and operational data to measure outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and validate maintenance, downtime, quality, and performance reports to support management decision making.

Qualification and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of academic qualifications, professional experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy duty earthmoving, mining, and construction machinery.
• Educational Qualification: BSc, BTech, HND in Engineering, or a relevant qualification.
• Certification: Ghana Mineral Commission’s certificate of competency as an Inspection Engineer.
• Professional Membership: Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of maintenance operations and equipment management.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and supervise maintenance teams effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Communication: Excellent communication and reporting skills for engaging with management and teams.
• Safety Commitment: Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Duty Station: This position is based in Tarkwa. Candidates must either reside in Tarkwa or demonstrate willingness to relocate.
