Job Summary

We currently seek an I.T Technician to join our team in Accra. This position places you at the heart of our technology operations, where you will install and configure software, maintain local networks, ensure system security, and provide technical support to users. Your expertise will directly influence our operational efficiency, data security, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications, ensuring systems meet user needs.
• Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimise performance and reliability.
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining compliance.
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment effectively.
• Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without disrupting colleagues’ work, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems, including repairing or replacing parts and debugging issues.
• Maintain records and logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders promptly to maintain operational readiness.

Qualification and Experience

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of academic qualifications, technical skills, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

• Educational Qualification: HND or Diploma in I.T from a recognised institution.
• Diagnostic Skills: Excellent diagnostic and problem solving abilities for resolving technical issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication ability for engaging with users and colleagues.
• Organisational Skills: Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
• Technical Knowledge: In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
• Security Awareness: Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to maintaining records and logs.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently.
