Your Mission

You will take a critical role in leading the design, development, and maintenance of complex software systems across business units and 34 affiliates. Your deep technical expertise will guide architectural decisions, while your leadership abilities will help mentor associate and software engineers. You will also contribute to strategic planning for technical initiatives, ensuring our systems remain secure, high performing, and ready for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans software design, technical leadership, system architecture, collaboration, problem solving, and continuous improvement. Here is what you will tackle:

Software Design & Development

You will lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high performance software solutions.
Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications bridges the gap between vision and execution.
Writing, reviewing, and optimizing code ensures reliability, maintainability, and speed.

Technical Leadership

You will provide technical direction to the team while ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Mentoring and guiding associate and software engineers fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Conducting code reviews to ensure quality and sharing knowledge with the team elevates everyone’s skills.

System Architecture & Design

You will contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with long term goals and scalability.
Designing and implementing microservices, APIs, and distributed systems using modern software development paradigms keeps us current.
Evaluating and recommending new technologies, frameworks, and tools enhances productivity and system performance.

Collaboration & Communication

You will work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high quality software on schedule.
Participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand ups contributes to Agile team dynamics.

Problem Solving & Debugging

You will troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions that minimize business disruption.
Identifying bottlenecks in the development process and proposing solutions improves efficiency across the team.

Continuous Improvement

You will stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
Advocating for and implementing improvements in the development process, including automation and testing strategies, drives quality.
Contributing to the creation of technical roadmaps and strategic plans for system enhancements shapes our technical future.

What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for a candidate with the right education, experience, technical skills, and soft skills. Here is what you need:

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
A Master’s degree in a related field gives you an added advantage.

Experience

Five to eight years of hands on experience in software development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Experience in a senior or technical leadership role is preferred.

Technical Skills

Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or other modern languages.
Frameworks & Tools: Extensive experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, .NET, Angular, React, Kotlin, or Vue.js.
System Design: Expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
Databases: Advanced knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
Messaging: Proficiency with messaging systems like JMS Queue, Kafka, or Rabbit MQ.
DevOps Practices: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization using Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
Testing & Debugging: Strong skills in automated testing frameworks and debugging tools.

Soft Skills
