About the Fellowship

This fellowship builds local capacity across climate-vulnerable island nations. Fellows study at one of eight approved host universities regionally. Degree programmes target sectors facing real medium-term skills shortages. Graduates are expected to serve their own island communities directly.

What Fellows Receive

Fellows get full tuition coverage where government funding doesn’t apply. A stipend covers basic living costs throughout the degree. One annual return ticket home supports each year of study. Fellows also join a strong, ongoing alumni network afterward.

Who Can Apply

Applicants need citizenship or refugee status in an eligible SIDS nation. Candidates must not already hold any higher education qualification. Applicants select from pre-approved undergraduate programmes at their regional host university. Study must begin somewhere between January and December 2027.

Required Materials

Applicants choose their undergraduate programme from the approved host university list. Admission requirements vary by programme and appear in application guidance. Reading all guidance and FAQs beforehand is strongly recommended.

How to Apply

Submit your application before 14 October 2026, 15:00 UTC+1.
