AIxBio Fellowship 2027 | Call for Applications

Applications are open for the AIxBio Fellowship’s Winter 2027 cohort. ERA runs this fully funded Cambridge program on AI and biosecurity. Fifteen fellows tackle real problems at this technology intersection. Three tracks let fellows research, embed, or test a founding idea.

About the Fellowship

This fellowship backs people working to reduce catastrophic biological risks. Three tracks suit different goals: research, placement, or founding. Each fellow gets a dedicated Research Manager and expert mentor. Strong projects can continue through ERA’s longer-term Research Scholar roles.

What Fellows Receive

Fellows receive a £10,000 stipend across the ten-week program. Travel costs and full visa sponsorship are covered for internationals. Meals during working hours and office workspace come included. A dedicated project funding pot supports additional research needs.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be 18 or older, with no other formal restrictions. Backgrounds span AI, biology, policy, security, and entrepreneurship. Prior formal research experience helps but isn’t required. Graduate students through experienced professionals are all encouraged to apply.
