About the Role

You will advise internal teams on the tax impact of closed and prospective transactions. This includes preparing partnership tax models and allocating income, gain, loss, deduction, and credit. Additionally, you will model 704(b) capital accounts and complex distribution waterfalls. You will also review partnership agreements to confirm the models reflect agreed terms.

The role reports to the Assistant Vice President of Tax and Accounting. It is hybrid, with on-site work in Annapolis more often than not, and pays $125,000 to $180,000.

Job Duties

• Prepare and maintain partnership tax models and income allocations
• Model complex ownership structures and distribution waterfalls
• Review partnership agreements and transaction documents for tax accuracy
• Evaluate tax implications of investments, restructurings, and dispositions
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on assumptions and deliverables
• Resolve modelling issues related to partner allocations and capital accounts
• Support tax compliance, reporting, and forecasting

Job Requirements

• 5–7 years’ partnership tax experience at a Big 4 or national firm, or in renewable energy project finance
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax, and CPA designation
• Strong knowledge of Subchapter K and 704(b) capital account modelling
• Experience with complex partnership agreements and equity method investments
• Advanced Excel and tax modelling skills
• Master’s in taxation and renewable energy finance experience preferred
