About the Fellowship

The fellowships let scholars at Global South institutions exchange ideas with researchers at Cambridge. Fellows also use the University’s collections and resources. CRASSH hopes the visits will lead to future collaboration. For 2028, the theme is how music relates to human bodies and to wider ecologies.

The call welcomes any musical tradition. It especially encourages work beyond the Western art music tradition. Applicants may come from music and sound studies, the social sciences, or the humanities. Fellows present their work to a relevant Faculty. They also help organize a roundtable on the theme at CRASSH.
